Permanent makeup

is the method of implanting natural pigments under the skin up to the depth of 0.3 – 0.6 mm with a special tattoo instrument. To benefit from the permanent cosmetic procedure, the quality of applied pigments is extraordinarily important. In our beauty salon we use exclusively pigments of assured quality that are colour fast and permanent. This is a guarantee that after the tattoo procedure, the eyebrow is brown and not pink, lily or pale blue, etc. The resulting shade usually lasts for 2-5 years, however, it might fade with time and it is advisable to undergo rejuvenation or colour re-freshing. We offer 50 per cent discount for tattoo rejuvenation provided the previous tattoo was done in our salon. Concerns for hygiene such as having disposable needles, ends and gloves are one of our priorities.

Permanent makeup in the Galaxy beauty salon

is carried out by the owner of the salon who is the winner of several makeup competitions (Championship of the Slovak Republic in 1996, Beauty Slovakia 1997, Interbeauty Dusseldorf in 1997). She has been in the field since 1998 and her feeling for visage and her sense of detail has already been appreciated by hundreds of satisfied clients in Slovakia as well as abroad. The basic principle of her approach is permanent makeup resulting in a natural look. That is why the permanent makeup of eyebrow is carried out by lineation, which is the simulation of the missing hair. This method is nowadays being presented as a novelty, however in the salon it has been normal procedure for nearly 10 years.

What steps do you need to take to receive permanent makeup treatment in the Galaxy cosmetic salon?

Call us and make an appointment. When you arrive we will show you our portfolio, which is certainly the best recommendation. The procedure of the tattoo itself is following the preparatory phase. It consists of a pre-drawing of the recommended shape and choosing a suitable shade. A lot of other elements are also taken into consideration, e.g. your age, job, the environment you live in, your physiognomy, colour type, facial expression, etc. The tattoo procedure itself is done after your agreement following the initial procedure of pre-drawing of the desired look and shape. We use Lidocain to help with pain management as most people experience some discomfort.

How long does the procedure take?

Eyebrows 30-35 minutes, eyeliner 15-25 minutes. Lips are the most difficult to do because we offer not only lipliner, but also full lip colour for the most natural final shape of the lips. This method enables us to enlarge the lips optically and make them fuller. Lipstick is not usually needed after the tattoo, only clear or coloured gloss.
Permanent lip colour tattoo is the most uncomfortable for clients, so local anaesthetic is recommended (for this we cooperate with a local dentist). For clients suffering from herpes it is advisable to take the tablets Zovirax or Herpesin before the tattoo procedure. Permanent lip colour tattoo lasts approx. 45 minutes.

What to do after the permanent makeup procedure?

The tattoo usually causes slight swelling and redness for about 2 hours. To support the healing process, you should apply calcium ointment according to the instructions and you must avoid water coming into contact with the tattooed area for next 5-7 days.
Visiting solarium and sauna is not recommended for the period of 4-6 weeks. Permanent makeup can be applied in the summer months as well, at least 1 month prior to a holiday by the sea.

What not to do after the permanent makeup procedure?

It is not recommended to travel by plane for at least 3 days after the tattoo procedure (due to herpes). You should also avoid using mascara and eye shadows if the eyeliners were tattooed, makeup and lipstick can be applied outside the tattooed areas after ten days. For next 2-3 days following the eyeliner tattooing the eyes might be swollen, so we recommend applying cold dry packs to the tattooed area.

How long does the healing last?

Generally 5-7 days. After that the top layer of the skin peels off from the tattooed area and the newly shaded skin rises to the surface through the tattooed area. The pigment finally settles in the skin after 3 weeks. After this time we know whether it is necessary to make any corrections. The price charged for the cosmetic tattoo procedure in our salon includes also a check-up visit within 6 months following the procedure. During this visit we can adjust shape, colour or density of the pigment. One correction is almost always necessary for the perfect result.
